Verre Jaune (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Verre Jaune, 86 rue du Villonet, Québec (Québec) G1B 0J7, Canada, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the rights you have under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Canada’s PIPEDA, and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR. By using verrejaune.com (the “Site”) or placing an order, you agree to this Policy.
1. Person in charge of personal information
In accordance with Law 25, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information, whom you can reach at info@verrejaune.com.
2. Personal information we collect
- You give us: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone (if provided), order details, and any message you send us.
- Collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with the Site, via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
- Payment information is entered at checkout and processed directly by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- From third parties: limited data from advertising and analytics partners, and from social platforms if you interact with our accounts.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Why we use it
- Process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and provide customer support.
- Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates).
- With your consent, send marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site, and measure our advertising.
- Comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, fraud prevention).
4. Consent
We rely on your consent for marketing communications and for non-essential cookies and trackers. You may withdraw consent at any time (unsubscribe link, cookie-banner settings, or by contacting us). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers that help us run the business, under contracts that limit their use of it to our instructions:

When we launch additional advertising channels (for example Pinterest, TikTok, or Google), their measurement tags may be added here; they load only with your consent.
6. Transfers outside Quebec / Canada
Some providers above store or process data in the United States or the European Union. Before entrusting personal information outside Quebec, we assess that it receives adequate protection through contractual and technical safeguards, as required by Law 25. By using the Site you acknowledge these transfers.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, grouped into categories and managed through our consent banner:
- Strictly necessary, cart, checkout, security (cannot be disabled).
- Functional, remembers preferences (e.g. language, region).
- Analytics, measures Site usage.
- Marketing, advertising measurement and retargeting.
You can accept, refuse, or change non-essential categories at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. tax records). Order and accounting records are kept for the period required by Canadian and Quebec law; marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
9. Your rights
Under Law 25 and applicable law you may, subject to legal limits: access the personal information we hold about you; rectify inaccurate or incomplete information; withdraw consent to marketing or non-essential processing; request deletion and, where applicable, de-indexing of information; and request portability of the computerised information you provided. To exercise a right, contact info@verrejaune.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information (encryption in transit, access controls, vetted providers). No method of transmission is perfectly secure; we will notify affected individuals and the Commission d’accès à l’information of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, as required by Law 25.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 14 years of age without the consent of a person having parental authority. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy; the “Last updated” date will change and, for material changes, we will provide notice on the Site.
